Executive Chef George Reed has been in the food service industry for over 40 years. He began as a dish washer as a young boy and has progressed to managing successful restaurants and owning a catering company. George has been the executive chef and manager for local restaurants such as The Sportsman’s Grille, The Gerst Haus, L & N Seafood Grille, Pucketts Grocery, The Country Club of Franklin, and Apcom. Over George’s 40 years of experience, he has been responsible for expanding locations, menu planning, recipe development, maintaining food cost, and hiring and training employees for a successful environment.
George is a master at catering. Awesome Catering has catered functions from 5 people to 3000 people. He has a strong belief in making food fun for his clients. George has participated in many competitions such as “Taste of the Nation” and “Our Kids Soup Sunday” where his famous Chicken Tortilla Soup won 1st place and 2nd place consecutive years.
